Specifically Addressing WAITT Programming

Q:  How Many Kinds of WAITT Programs Can I Choose From?

A:  There are 5 different WAITT program options:

· Conferences  · Evening Rallies/Outreaches  · Seminars  · Curriculum

· Customized Programming --  WAITT is happy to specialize material to fit group needs

Q:  What Are The Different WAITT Operating Methods?

A:  There are currently 5 different program options:

Conferences -- action packed 2 or 3 day events. Expect concerts, general sessions, small group interaction, keynote speakers, and seminars.

Evening Rallies/Outreaches - Great for youth groups and community outreaches. If you choose the "Heart Talk" message, you will find it brings to light the overall "purity" process and REALLY puts the beginning touches on why someone should choose to wait sexually.  The "Get Equipped" message takes things to another level and provides guidelines on how to wait.

Choose to have this as the final part of the weekend conference or choose to have one evening of a serious "heart 2 heart" talk!  Allotted time frame needed is 3 to 4 hours.

Seminars  -- Choose from 6 different seminars:  WAITT Gain; The ICE Pack; Extra WAITT; Becoming A Workable Machine; Get Equipped; Help I'm a Spotter!

WAITT4U Magazine  - This publication serves as a follow-up tool. Includes encouraging stories and offers regular support to everyday issues teens face.

Curriculum / WAITT Kits / Devotionals -  Following topics:                                                              WAITT Gain and Becoming A Workable Machine. WAITT Kits have a training guide for pastors, parents, and teachers interested in teaching valuable topics like abstinence and healthy living. This kit is a nice substitute when groups and individuals are not able to host WAITT in person. These kits are also useful tools in preparing groups for an upcoming WAITT event.

Devotionals - Designed for those teens and single adults that are serious about abstaining sexually until their wedding night. The devotional structure is easy to read guides that allow space for personal reflection and growth. Currently in final stages of development - expected to be released in July 2008.

WAITT Gear --  Merchandise and wearable goods that serve as daily reminders of WAITT and commitments to purity. Purchase sterling silver purity rings for your group!  They are a GREAT way for teens to be reminded of their commitment to purity.  See the WAITT GEAR section for complete catalog of available ring styles. Various styles available ... order by phone or online at www.waitt.org

Q:  What Are Some Benefits Of A WAITT Weekend Conference?

A:  Those who attend a WAITT weekend conference leave with guidelines and encouragement to abstain!

Choosing Abstinence - one's own personal decision to abstain from sex until marriage

Confidence - use wisdom and discernment in tempting situations

Team Approach - get encouragement from others choosing to wait

Role Models - meet others choosing abstinence

Clear Goals - clearly assess future goals and evaluate choices made

Continual Support - regular meetings with pastors and community leaders

WAITT4U magazine - provides support and follow-up to the issues faced

Relationship with Jesus Christ - learn to trust Jesus and HIS teachings

Q:  What Kind of Groups Does WAITT Work With?

A:  All Kinds!  WAITT works in conjunction with many different churches. We are Bible based and teach that Jesus is Lord and Savior. We work with Biblically based churches, including: Non-denominational, Baptist, Southern Baptist, Charismatic, Catholic, Assembly of God, Lutheran, Gospel, Evangelical Free, Bible Churches, etc. We recognize the different "religious" styles that churches teach by and work hard to unify our style to that of our client's. WAITT keeps its standard "truth" base, but modifies the style of deliver when working with different organizations. WAITT requests statements of faith from groups prior to booking.

Q: How is WAITT like other programs?

A:  Like other abstinence programs, WAITT talks about setting boundaries in dating and briefly addresses issues of STD's, pregnancy, etc - please see our flow-chart graphic depicting "chains" for clearer idea of what we present. We also present the standard "wait until you're married" message. Message is action packed and includes drama, music, interaction, etc...

Q: How is WAITT Different From Other Programs?

A:  There are a number of differences. Including: Extended Message - WAITT's message starts where many abstinence programs leave off… extending its message to discuss topics in "how to wait". Based on the "now what do I do?" question, WAITT is a process of training for the goal of "purity". Statistics show that over 300,000 teens and young adults across America have made commitments to wait sexually until their wedding nights. A very good choice! But what happens next? What's the continued message? It is not expected that someone simply just crawl in a bubble and hide out from the "real world" hoping to hid from sexual pressures! The decision continues each day as it may take years before one's marriage. That is where additional support - continued training - is needed

Q:  How Far In Advance Do I Have To Book WAITT?

A:  Depends on the date you are looking for and the event size

Depending on the size of your event (and WAITT's availability) you should plan to book WAITT about 6-months in advance. This is especially important if you are looking for a large weekend event. If looking for prime holiday weekend (ex: Valentine's weekend)… plan at least one year in advance… maybe more. If your event is a one-day or evening you should plan at least 2 months in advance. WAITT's calendar can get pretty full but sometimes last minute events can be accommodated. *Please note that WAITT is not currently taking events for 2007.

Q:  What Do You Say To Those That Have Already Been Sexually Active?

A:  Second Time Virginity!

We do not judge anyone! And since statistics show that 1 in 4 teens is sexually active we have to offer hope to those that have already crossed lines. We also are very sensitive to the fact that many sexual encounters are not consensual. We look to help people live purely everyday… this means that even those that have already been sexually active can choose to abstain.

Q:  How Much Does A WAITT Event Cost?

A:  Depends on the program booked and the demographics of the event.  There are standard fees for specific events. Each fee is dependant upon the size, duration, location, and number of crew needed. Call for specific pricing.

Q:  What Age Is The Program Geared For?

A:  Ages 13 to 18 and College Age to Adult -- It works best to keep WAITT events to 8th Grade and above.  Parents are also welcome at WAITT events too!  There is a seminar and interactive activities just for them!
